Jim Cain (Michiel Vaernewyck) is a singer-songwriter from Ghent. A long time ago, he fell under the spell of heroes like Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne, and Luka Bloom. Today, however, he mainly does his own thing, crafting and sharing his own captivating musical stories.

Armed with a warm voice and a characterful six-string, he weaves powerful melodies and soulful guitar playing together with profound lyrics — all accompanied by a healthy dose of dry humor. His music strikes a balance between pure singer-songwriter, sixties folk, blues, soul, country, and a touch of rock.
